TWO MERIDIAN INDIANA PLANTS RECEIVE THE CHRYSLER EBSC AWARD
In August 2007, Chrysler awarded the Huntington and Shelbyville manufacturing facilities with the 2006 External Balanced Score Card (EBSC) award for excellent supplier performance. The EBSC was designed by Chrysler as an objective tool to measure supplier parts. Chrysler presents the EBSC award to global suppliers based on cost, quality, technology, and reliability of vehicle parts. Evaluation criteria also include readiness to assume responsibility and transparency in joint ventures.
Huntington was recognized for the Jeep Wrangler rooftops and Shelbyville for the Dodge Viper composite body panels.
While on-site at Huntington to present the award, Bill Quinn of Chrysler Purchasing said, “The key to the Wrangler’s success has been the combined efforts of our supplier partners. Chrysler feels that Meridian has out performed its competitors and that [they] were key in making the Wrangler a sales success.”
