Engineering

Meridian Automotive Systems, Inc.core Engineering values are Innovation, Leadership, Teamwork, and Commitment. We value creative engineering solutions and self-motivated candidates.

Meridian’s Program Managers lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, validation, and launch of new products. Program Managers are typically graduate engineers with 5+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, quality, and/or tooling. It is expected that candidates will also specialize in one of Meridian’s product areas.   

We also hire entry-level graduate engineers to support our development of advanced product programs. We seek primarily mechanical engineers with demonstrated creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, and teamwork skills.

Our CAD Design groups are composed of results-oriented professionals who are proficient in 2-D drafting and 3-D solid modeling technologies utilizing SDRC IDEAS, CATIA PRO-E and Unigraphics software. We generally seek individuals with an Associates Degree in an engineering discipline and a minimum of 3-5 years design experience with a working knowledge of GD&T.

Meridian has engineering staff in two primary locations, Allen Park and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Sales

Meridian Automotive Systems has sales and engineering offices in Metro Detroit from which we service OEM and Tier 1 accounts. Qualifications for employment include Bachelors Degree, and three years of automotive sales or engineering experience. Meridian offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Operations

Meridian Automotive Systems, headquartered in Allen Park, Michigan has Operations throughout North America. Each of operation has diverse needs associated with its particular products. Each of our Operations employs Industrial, Facilities, Quality, Packaging and Tooling Engineers, to name a few. Meridian utilizes a myriad of processes at our various locations and we are always interested in supporting each of the facilities with the best talent available. Information Systems

The Information Systems Department of Meridian is responsible for managing and supporting all locations of the company and all areas of information technology including communications and CAD systems. The department is primarily located in Grand Rapids, Michigan with Unix, telecom, and PC administrators at other company locations. The IS team also includes a programming group, applications group, and a systems group.

 We are actively involved in implementing and supporting many of the latest technologies. We hire associates of all experience levels and offer an aggressive program for training and education. Finance

Meridian’s Finance Center is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, providing financial services to the company at large from this location. Financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, internal audit and financial planning activities are all managed at this location. Additionally, financial services including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll are provided to all of Meridian’s operations through our offices in the Finance Center.

The Finance Department is also heavily involved in ensuring that we have quality financial management in our manufacturing locations and sales and engineering offices.
