Adhesive Bonding

SMC / BMC can be adhesively bonded to itself, aluminum, or e-coated metals using a variety of urethane or epoxy based structural adhesives. By utilizing the latest advancements in adhesive technology, the adhesive joint can be constructed stronger than the parent material you are adhering to. Meridian has many years of manufacturing experience providing quality bonded assembles that meet all customer requirements and expectations.

Parts for which this process is used:

• Exterior body panels including door assemblies, hood assemblies, decklid assemblies, fenders, tonneau covers, roof systems, hatches and liftgates.
• Structural components including, GORS, valve covers, wiper tubs, shot gun reinforcements, IP structural ducts, underbody shielding, stowage tubs, pickup truck boxes and running board.
