Meridian’s state-of-the-art Sheet Molding Compounding facility, which is located in Grabill Indiana, is unparalleled in the SMC industry for process control, automation and product consistency.

The Meridian team has developed a mixing and compounding software system exclusively for Meridian, which features a closed-loop computer controlled process for the automatic and precise addition of the SMC components. This software system controls and monitors all material additions to industry leading tolerances.

Our raw materials storage, mixing and compounding processes are contained within temperature-controlled environments. This atmosphere allows for stable and consistent mixing and compounding resulting in superior quality at the molding process. In addition to the controlled temperature environment, Meridian also has dedicated mixing equipment and multiple paste delivery lines per SMC machine in order to reduce changeover cost and potential cross-color contamination.
