E-Coating

Meridian’s in-house electrocoat finishing technologies and processes provide optimal corrosion resistance, adhesion, durability and appearance for steel and stainless components. 

The facility has an automated 15-stage cathodic epoxy e-coat system with pretreat.  The process consists of 10 pretreatment tanks, one 21,000 gallon phosphate immersion tank, a 21,000 gallon e-coat immersion tank, and three post rinses in a closed-loop recovery system.  Finishes include cathodic epoxy and acrylic primers.  

E-coating can be applied to parts up to 36 x 84 x 96 inches (914 x 2,133 x 2,438 mm).  The 1,800 foot long, 6 inch trolley monorail system is capable of conveying 72,000 lb/hr at 10 ft/min., and accommodates manual and automatic loading of parts.

Our e-coating technologies, systems and processes are approved by major OE manufacturers of automotive, heavy-truck, agricultural and off-highway equipment.
